Meet Our Team
Jenny
Veterinarian & Owner
Jenny has recently set up PetMed Vets, with a focus on compassionate and expert care.
After graduating from Massey University in 2000, Jenny embarked on a global adventure, working in various locations, immersing herself in diverse cultures, and capturing incredible wildlife moments through her photography.
In 2012, Jenny joined the Glendowie-St Heliers Veterinary Clinic, where she dedicated 12 years to caring for the local community’s beloved pets. Her commitment to learning drove her to earn a Master’s in Veterinary Medicine, and she published a study on hypertensive retinal disease in cats. Jenny’s special interests are in internal medicine, ophthalmology, senior pet care, and veterinary acupuncture. She’s also a Fear Free Certified Veterinarian, ensuring stress-free care for animals.
On weekends, you’ll find Jenny coaching a lively mini polo team or enjoying time with her family, including her husband, three kids and two cats. Jenny is thrilled to bring her wealth of experience and boundless passion for animal care to PetMed Vets and is looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
Vicki
Vet Nurse
Originally from the UK, Vicki moved to New Zealand in 2018, she began her career in veterinary nursing in April 2023 and has quickly become a valued member of our clinic.
When Vicki’s not busy providing excellent care at the clinic, she specialises in positive reinforcement dog training and dog walking. She also volunteers as a Primate Keeper Assistant at Auckland Zoo, where she’s gained incredible experience working with a wide range of animals.
Vicki is passionate about treating every pet with the same care and compassion she would give her own, and she’s excited to meet and care for your furry friends!
Natasha
Vet Nurse
Natasha graduated from Vet Nurse Plus in 2021 and her passion for helping pets shines through in everything she does.
She loves providing compassionate care to ensure each patient feels comfortable and loved.
When she’s not caring for animals at work, Natasha loves spending time with her own fur baby, Benjie, a 5-year-old Golden Retriever who’s always by her side.
We’re lucky to have Natasha as part of our team—her commitment to animal health and her hands-on experience make her an invaluable asset to our clinic
Anna
Vet Nurse
With over 25 years of experience as a veterinary nurse, Anna brings a deep passion for animal care and a wealth of knowledge to the PetMed team.
A proud pony parent from the age of six, she grew up immersed in the equestrian world and went on to compete in horse trials at a national level. Her love of horses and natural affinity for animals led her into the sport horse and racing industries, where her career in animal health began.
After completing her bachelor’s degree, Anna made the move from Canterbury to Auckland and transitioned into the companion animal field. For the past 20 years, she has been a trusted part of the Bays community, valued not only for her clinical expertise but also for the strong, lasting relationships she builds with both clients and their furry companions.
Whether assisting in surgery, offering support in the consult room, or cuddling a nervous patient, Anna is known for her dedication to exceptional pet medical care.
Claire
Veterinarian
Claire grew up on the Hibiscus Coast and returned to work in Auckland after graduating from Massey University in 2018.
She worked in a group vet practice servicing communities across the North Shore and Hobsonville for 4 years before spending a few years living and working in Greenlane. She loves all things general practice and has a passion for helping people and their pets.
She has special interests in dermatology, medicine and preventative health care. Outside of the clinic you’ll find her spending time with her partner, 2 cats and Cocker Spaniel puppy.
Having recently spent some time travelling Europe and exploring New Zealand she is excited to start a new chapter working in Kohimarama and can’t wait to meet everyone and their pets!
Gail
Part Time Receptionist
Originally hailing from bonnie Scotland and now a Kiwi citizen, Gail is our friendly part-time receptionist.
She has extensive experience working in the veterinary industry and holds an NZ certificate in animal technology.
She can’t wait to look after both clients and pets alike!
Gail has a 9 year old rescue lab x called Ernie and runs around after her 6 year old son.
